With this latest incarnation of the popular One, TomTom have reduced the price, added mapshare, but rather strangely also removed the SD card expansion slot.
We're taking a quick look at the new TomTom Go 520 Sat Nav, which comes installed with maps of the UK and Eire. The TomTom Go 720 is identical except that it comes with street-level maps of Europe as well.
Tom Tom have pulled out the stops to create a real step forward for in-car Sat Nav, with many new, impressive and useful features.

With a bit more room my little r/c touring car can start to stretch its legs. Made with an old mobile phone cable tied to the front bumper, so it does slip around a bit.
A quick look at the new TomTom Go 520 and the Garmin Nuvi 200.
The TomTom 520 has Bluetooth hands-free, FM Modulator, Text to Speech, voice recognition, and much more.
The Nuvi 200 is a much more basic Sat Nav, but for a to b navigating, what's the difference?

Another old film camera from our local car boot sale - this one has three shutter speeds, no light-meter and you have to estimate subject distance to focus... fantastic! ( 45mm F2.9 lens).
Stop laughing at the editing! This is the first time I've tried to cut together tripod and car-cam footage, and it's a bit of a mess, but hopefully my next effort will be better. The car is my HPI Nitro MT2 4WD Stadium Truck, and as you can see I'm not very good at controlling it yet, too used to on-road Nitro Touring Cars...
Ok, it's a bit ad-hoc, but in this video you can see the two methods I use to atatch cameras to my Nitro Touring Cars. Mobile / Cell Phones are best zip-tied to the front bumper, and larger DV type devices can be secured on top of the rear body mounts. Stick some foam under where the cameras are to be placed to reduce wobble.
Excellent, if old, Psion Siena Pocket Computer that can still sync with XP desktops and last a month on a single set of batteries - how many Windows Pocket PC's can do that?
